Message It's also a very reliable, quality car in my opinion. It drives great, looks great, feels great - what more can you ask for in a car? Plus, it's pretty freakin' fast when it's stock! For a car that barely changed since its introduction in 1990, it's an amazing feat of technology. In '90 it blew away same year Supras and RX7s in stock form. In 2001 it still blows away brand new stock Mustangs, and most other "sports cars" that have become popular in recent times. It's just an amazing car. If you don't have to work on it. ;) I grew up in a Z family so it was the next logical step.

197x 280z (dad's)
1984 300zx (dad's)
1987 300zx (my car to drive in HS)
1991 300zxtt (mine, all mine)

They were all great cars. My neighbor still owns the 84, he says it's the best car he's ever owned. My parents still have my 87, they tow it behind their motorhome. Sad fate for a Z.... but oh well. It still runs perfectly, electrical problems aside. :)
